This collection consists of deeds, accounts, letters, legal memos and miscellaneous other papers pertaining to lands owned by Henry Quincy. Many of the papers document the purchase and conveyance of the land in the Salter family, and Quincy's subsequent transactions. There is a mortgage of land to Dr. John Sprague ( - ) of Boston for a period of forty years. In addition, there is a 1716 petition by the Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Province, Samuel Shute (1662-1742), to the King of England. It concerns the powers of the House of Representatives.

George I was the first Hanover king of England, claiming the throne through his mother, Sophia, great granddaughter of King James I. His succession was orchestrated to ensure a Protestant ruler.
